1. Service

PDF Modern provides free, browser-based tools for working with PDF and image files. All processing happens locally in your browser — files are never uploaded to our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the tools to process content you do not have the legal right to handle.
  • Attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, or overload it.
  • Use automated requests to abuse rate-limited resources (CDN endpoints, fonts, workers).
  • Reverse-engineer encrypted PDFs that you do not own or are not authorized to access.

3. Intellectual property & copyright

The PDF Modern brand, name, logo, design, copy, page layouts, JSON-LD metadata, screenshots and the compiled JavaScript bundles are © 2026–2026 PDF Modern, all rights reserved. You may use the website to process your own files, but you may not:

  • Copy, mirror or republish the site, in whole or in part, on another domain.
  • Rebrand, white-label or resell the tools as your own product.
  • Remove or obscure copyright notices, attribution or links to pdfmodern.com.

Third-party open-source libraries used by the tools (such as pdf-lib, pdfjs-dist, jsPDF, Tesseract.js) remain the copyright of their respective authors and are used under their original licenses.

4. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. PDF Modern does not guarantee that the tools will be error-free, available at all times, or suitable for any particular purpose. You are responsible for keeping backups of your important files.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF Modern and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of, or inability to use, this website.
